"The Water's Fine", as is the listening enjoyment found on Dennis Hensley's CD of the same name. Not quite love songs, more like reflections and thoughts on love, life, and people. |

Excellent arrangements, haunting melodies, changing tempos, and an amazing cast of artists working with Hensley make this CD a winner. All songs are Dennis Hensley's original material. "Pour Me A Dream" is by Hensley and Producer Norman Arnold.
The material is presented in such a way that all can relate to Dennis' lyrics. Truly universal in approach, thoughts of feelings, memories, love, and perception are personalized so that the listener fills in the description. That description would include all areas including; gender, age, race, or any other socially identifiable factor. Yet the emotions triggered by the various songs are indeed quite specific to us all.
I enjoyed the entire CD, which is rare. My personal favorite "Against The Grain" is a beautiful statement on the wonder of diversity and the emotional well being therein. A close second, "Afterthoughts" brings very real experiences to life, yet allows for humor and maybe just a touch of sarcasm. Title track "The Water's Fine", is a lively high spirited invitation to experience the music that is Dennis Hensley. You will be glad you did.
