Welcome to my reviews.  My name is Ran and I live in central New York State. I am also a member of Outmusic and a collector of music by LGBT musicians.  This part of the world is not the entertainment capital of the world, but we have been blessed with the talents of a number of LGBT musicians over the years.  A few years ago I started writing performance reviews of LGBT performers as they appeared in the area.  I have to do my homework and keep up-to-date on the LGBT music scene, but it's all worth it.

The reason why I only write reviews of LGBT musicians is because they are an underrepresented segment of the LGBT community.  With the occasional exception, I don't hear them on the radio, I don’t read about them in LGBT magazines or newspapers, and I rarely see them perform at Pride events.  As they embark on their careers, they often play to small audiences, in out-of-the-way venues and for little or no money.  This is an absolute shame, and it happens simply because people aren't aware of them and their messages.

I have been impressed with the talent that I've heard over the years, so much so, that I started traveling all over to see other fabulous LGBT entertainers.  I've been to Albany, Buffalo, Philadelphia, PA, Provincetown, MA, and many points in between.  It has been a pleasure to go to these concerts and meet many of these artists.  I have also discovered some wonderful entertainment spaces because of these artists.
