“All
We Have Is Now” by Robert Taylor Harrington Park Press - Southern Tier Editions 978-1-56023-648-1 2006 238 pages Review by Mountman/Joe “All We Have Is Now” is the story of Ian McBride, a prominent actor in a theater company in Washington D. C. After his long time lover dies of AIDS, he has thrown himself into his career and closed off his personal life. But then, along comes, Jimmy Davidson, a young inspiring and talented actor. Once Jimmy breaks down the walls of Ian’s, Ian is ready to live life again. Only to |
find life isn’t always fair. He loses Jimmy to a senseless Hate Crime.
Robert has spun a tale that shows that out of a senseless act can something good come. In this day of terrorists, war, and natural disasters, “All We Have Is Now” shows there can be light at the end of the tunnel.
Robert’s style of writing makes the reader feel that they are reading about real people instead of characters from a story. I would recommend “All We Have Is Now” to everyone that likes to read.
