Keyth Lawrence
& The Purple Circle Wing CD Review- "Figures" |
Keyth Lawrence & The Purple Circle "Figures" CD Review I Said! Records Review by: Len Rogers Holding true to their concept that records are novels. Keyth Lawrence and The Purple Circle have indeed created a " novel" of intrigue, sustained with compelling musical tapestry. Twelve songs divided into Northern and Southern Hemispheres carry the listener through the |
experience. A common theme, although underlying, is felt throughout the entire CD. However, there is a unique quality and feel to each song. This making all parts unique while blending in to an even larger completed piece.
Much like the lyrics, and even music itself the individual members create important unique contributions while joining to complete the overall presentation. Commanding piano by Keyth Lawrence gives the complete work continuity, feel, and carriage. The blend of all make this "novel" a success. It is this "Blend" which for me creates such a unique experience. Familiarity and an apparent common understanding work together to create an overall voice. That which is in its entirety, Keyth Lawrence & The Purple Circle. A unique and satisfying musical journey and experience. One which I feel will be making a marked impression.
