Daniel Link Wing CD Review

Out Of The Silence Daniel Link Review By: Codi      Daniel Link is a name I am sure which will be getting more and more exposure. Smooth vocal style with an edge which strengthens his already powerful lyrics, Link has the style which will attract listeners and fans from several genres; rock, pop, and country.

 Influenced by Stevie Nicks, Daniel's self-stated, "reason for being in music" is a credit to his mentor. The impressions Nicks made on Link are apparent in his style, however his original approach and flavor make his sound unique, a listening pleasure, and very much his own. Slightly reminiscent of a young Elton John, and maybe even a little Billy Joel, add to that a genuine touch of his root influence and you experience the music that is Daniel Link.

      Daniel wastes no time getting your attention on "Out Of The Silence". Track number one, "Altar Boy" is an evocative piece which lingers in the mind with haunting melody and poignant lyrics. As a recovering Catholic, and former altar boy myself, I found particular interest in Link's spin on the subject.  All music on "Out Of The Silence" is Daniel Link,  that means reflective lyrics, common themes, and introspective challenges. Other tracks like "Believe", "Nature Of Love", and "Constant Faithfulness" are more examples of the brilliant ability of Daniel Link to express his thoughts and feelings through music. With superb harmony vocals by Cheri Chileote and musical accompaniment by David Breaux the entire CD is brought tightly together and executed with precision and a genuine personal feel.

     According to Link, his upcoming CD release in October of "Ghost Stories" is in his opinion a defining work. I will be happy to learn and hear more of this artist's definition. Based upon his work on "Out Of The Silence" it will surely be a pleasurable experience. Overall, I was particularly impressed with the subject matters covered on "Out Of The Silence" and the manner in which they were produced and arranged.
