Master of Seacliff” If a good gothic romance with a gay twist is what you are looking for, then “The Master of Seacliff” is just the ticket. There’s intrigue, secrets galore, and murders. Some, from the past and some happening now. In 1899, Andrew, a twenty year old from Brooklyn, who aspires to be a painter and study in France, takes a position as a tutor to the son of a wealthy landowner, the single, but very moody, Duncan Stewart, “The Master of Seacliff”. |
Seacliff has all the modern amenities for the time. Like, electric lights, which of course go out during a storm. Shadows abound around every corner. Even before Andrew arrives at Seacliff, he learns that the Master of the house was suspected, but cleared of the death of his father and his father’s business partner.
Soon after Andrew arrives, he meets the brother and sister, Leo and Elena
Van Horne, from the neighboring estate, who were, childhood friends of
I couldn’t wait to follow along on the journey with Andrew to find the truths; truths about Seacliff, Leo, Elena, Duncan and the murders. Not to mention the truths that Andrew learned truths about himself.
I recommend “The Mater of Seacliff” for anyone that would like to travel back in time and visit a different era in Gay history.
