Thank you for this award. Bleeding Hearts was a labor of love and for it
to be recognized like this is truly gratifying. It is wonderful to know
that it has touched so many lives. I want to thank everyone that was
involved in the process of bring this book to print, especially everyone
at Renaissance Alliance Publishing. Cathy, Barb, Linda, Lori and the whole
gang, thanks for believing in me! I also want to thank my little brother
Luke, who encouraged me to begin writing BH, and my aunt for always
supporting me. I can't forget my biggest support, the person who is always
there for me, my partner, Jon, who I met because of Bleeding Hearts. I
love you, Jon. And once again, last but not least, thanks to Len and the
Stonewall Society for making these awards possible. I'm honored to be a
