Sacha Sacket Wing CD Review |
"Alabaster
Flesh" "Alabaster Flesh" is the debut album for Los Angeles' Sacha Sacket. As a debut, a smashing success, in that it leaves you wanting more...lots more. A wide mix of influence has brought together a unique and refreshing musical experience. From track one, "Primordial" you know that this will be different, and in this case different is good, very good. Sacket's musical style is obviously broadly influenced. His ability both vocally and as a pianist are a true compliment to his mentors, music, and self. A perfect |
blend. Sacha's soothing music is an excellent base for his lyrics. Powerful imagery and strong statement make "Alabaster Flesh" a CD which will not be overlooked. Combined with a mixed genre of style all flawlessly combined, honoring fundamentals of classical, rock, folk, and electronic. Classical influence is apparent in his use of piano and theme, however this music is ageless. It seems at times there is some early Simon and Garfunkel, Harry Nilsson, and even a tad Lou Reed influence. However, Sacha makes it all his own, fresh, original, and most appealing.
Eleven songs strong, "Alabaster Flesh" is a statement of musical talent and social conviction. Pleasantly delivered with Sacha's warm and inviting baritone vocals. My favorite track, eleven, "The Trickster" has a familiar sound with a message for all. Sacket's message is one of unique personal value, intuitive confessions combined with outstanding orchestration. A must for all collections.
