                        Out of

                        dissappointment...

                                      exhaustion...

                                                & boredom...

                        Out of

                        acute value deprivation...

                        We turn away

                        at last

                        from the world's great fabricated faiths

                        And

                        in modern desperation

                        beseech, once again,

                        the planet's precious pebbles

                        for advice...

                                    meaning...

                                                & fulfillment...

                        But

                        scorned, scarred

                        & still smarting from mankind's Medean treachery,

                        Nature's sparkling offspring

                        no longer speak to us

                        so we imagine they do
