Robert Urban Wing OnLine Music Review

Music Website Review Robert Urban Review by: Len      As we have looked at some of Robert Urban's music, ("Elegies" and some online selections from "godless"), it seemed very appropriate to direct attention to the ultra-informative website of this prolific artist. Urban's website is a large volume of information and "get to know" items often not seen. Of course the discography, available music, samples and other frequent items are present.

     However, Robert has included personal sections which open the availability to better know the artist and the man. On many music sites I visit for instance, biography is actually discography or promotional information for the newest release. Not so on Urban's site. Family photos, band and performance photos along with an informative biography provide the visitor with a plethora of information. All enabling the guest to know and understand the deeper meanings behind his music.

     I found Robert's theatrical stage background, his soundtracks, and especially his published writings a valuable personal insight. This multi-talented artist has provided not just a list of facts, but a personal up close look into his life. In that Urban truly shares with his fans. His Urban Productions illustrate not just diversity in the art of Robert Urban, but also the broad range of style with which he has associated himself. As with several members of the StoneWall Society GLBT Promotion, Robert shares his opportunities with other artists. The sign of a hard core professional is bringing that new talent to the forefront. 

     In September we will be taking a look at the "godless" CD in its complete form. Something to look forward to reading and for me, reviewing. I have always enjoyed the work with the artists in our promotion, Robert Urban is another very welcome addition. Take a look yourself for a hefty dose of GLBT music and musical culture. The time spent is entertaining, and even educational. So set your browser for the Robert Urban website. You will be glad you did!
