"Diggin In" Liquid Pie Review By: Len      "Diggin' In" like "Just The Crust" is a musical bathing in Liquid Pie aura. Overall feel, statement, and style create a literal "aura", of sensation. Happily, "Diggin' In" brings more of that "good Liquid Pie wonder" to life. Ten tracks strong, each is a great stand alone example of why the Liquid Pie sound is creating a following which happily call themselves, "Pie Heads". Liquid Pie use all energies to complete each individual creation. Titles to lyrics to melodies, there are pleasant surprises, spiced with warmly familiar fun. Liquid Pie weaves a musical tapestry of sentiment and musical conjugation, did I mention just plain fun??? No wonder Liquid Pie took the 2003 StoneWall Society Pride In The Arts Award for favorite group.     Several destined to be Liquid Pie classics like; "Love Along The Way", "Just Because",

and "Through To You', add even more depth and experience to the Liquid Pie experience. Clearly the title "Diggin' In" refers to the groups success and scope of venture with exploring and defining the Liquid Pie sound. In other words, dig in and enjoy. Meandering melodies meet with lyric mastery in the toe tappin' "What Comes Around". The reggae feel of the lively and "pure Pie", "Through To You" made me want to get out the kazoo! And I did. "I Feel In Love" is a Liquid Pie take on a solid piece reminiscent of Robert Palmer with a strong dash of Lauper. That's Liquid Pie, unique, hard to describe, pleasantly addictive, and always fun!

     A great compilation of Liquid Pie flavor, "Diggin' In" is versatile. Sometimes mellow and relaxed, then charging  into toe tappin' melodies with wildly contagious lyrics. Memory makers and mood sets for a great musical time. Arranged with flow and intrigue in mind "Diggin' In" completes a circuit of sensation. Lifting you up and gently placing, the songs bring you through a stage of experiences. And those stages are all good!
