Society GLBT Artists CD Review Sister Funk |
"Pursuit
Of The Groove" Sister Funk Review by: Len Sister Funk have not only found the groove.
They have mastered the groove and call it their own. Eleven tracks of
multi-genre, lively, fun music. Sister Funk is wonderfully described on
their website as: Make no mistake this is music which creates movement. Spirited, |
thought provoking, cheeky, captivating, and did I say fun! "Pursuit Of The Groove" begins strong with "Truth Will Set You Free" and the standard is never lowered. Tempos change, rhythms evolve, and you are on a wonderful music adventure. Mood changes as in "Holding Out" keep the pace exciting and fresh. "Mr. Bush Man" with a somewhat jazzy feel has attitude and more. Ending with "Sister Funk" an upbeat, very danceable, flawless signature piece. And I like it!
Vocal skills, harmonies, instrumentation, and production all blend seamlessly to create a wonderful tapestry of Sister Funk Talent. This band delivers. The whole package, and its all good. With style, a unique sound, and lots of energy this is music for the people. All people. A great addition to any collection, a MUST in any respectable GLBTI collection. However, no reason is necessary other than the musical pleasure Sister Funk will deliver. Check out the sights, sounds, and fun that is Sister Funk on their website.
