"Sugarcoated" Peto-A-Go-Go Review by: Len      A great return to that sweet sugar coated pop best described as simply "Peto-Pop". New band members; Sean Griffin, Daryl Rother, and Erik Stewart add to the peto-listic sound for which the band is synonymous. Upbeat music with often biting lyrics which rock and effect. Don't mistake pop for light weight, not so here. As with Peto's "In MY Place" these guys have something to say. It does go down with ease as the sugar coating in this case is the delivery. Up, brisk, and power packing.       All original songs by Peto the subject matter is universal and pointed. The CD

starts strong with the catchy self-statement of title track "Sugarcoated". A new take on rose colored glasses with punch. Throughout the CD the standard is never lowered and the energy does not lessen. That such a broad range of topics are addressed with such an up feel is a tribute to and signature of the group. "(Can It Be) So Real" empowers with revelations of self examination and healing. "Phabulous Fred" is a direct and appropriate answer to those using "God" to control and define what we as individuals should be. 

     While the subjects change the music keeps the continuity flowing. Musically it is all brought together with unique style, delivery, and a strong sense of humor. That humor which is present in lyrics and the music itself. Another part of the "peto-licious" charm so boldly owned by Peto-A-Go-Go. Check out the latest news and get your copy at their website.
