Society GLBT Artists CD Review Leah Zicari |
"Hard
Road" Leah Zicari Review by: Len Sassy, sweet, and talented. Leah Zicari has no hard road in winning you over as a fan. Original style, personal connections, and this odd feeling she is singing just for you make this artist a stand out. Poignant lyrics, musical talent and a great sense of humor are just portions of the appeal. Zicari has a sparkle, a shine, which exudes itself through her alluring, and captivating voice. It is no wonder that "Hard Road" has brought Leah new opportunities and well deserved recognition for her talents. |
Zicari sets a high standard with opening track, "This Is Gonna Hurt Me". A catchy determined song which makes a great introduction to Leah's vocal and musical talents. Your attention is held throughout the entire CD by strong introspective and affirming lyrics warmly wrapped in Zicari's unique and compelling style. Excellent accompaniment, strong backup and smooth production make an overall event of "Hard Road". Ranging from sweetly soft to roust-a-bout robust, Leah makes the grade and calls them her own.
Not just a balladeer, although strong in that suit as well, Zicari isn't afraid to reach and explore as evident in the varied themes and styles represented. From beginning to end you are gratefully carried into each song and left eagerly waiting for more. Catch more of Leah Zicari, and her music, at her website.
