I am delighted and honored to accept the StoneWall Society International Ulrichs Award for Exemplary Community Contribution. I remain as passionate in my quest for queer liberation as I was when I first came out and began campaigning in 1969. It has been my great privilege to be part of the worldwide queer emancipation movement, and to have made a small contribution towards challenging the bigotry that has blighted so many queer lives. I accept this award with aknowledgement and gratitude to the many people who have helped my campaigns over the last three decades. Without their support and solidarity, my work for queer visibility, acceptance and human rights would be much diminished. I salute them. Solidarity and Salutations! Criteria
      In that StoneWall Society bestows all awards at the International level the general following criteria is established in all cases;
Verification of Nominees' eligibility by confirming actions which merit recognition.
Private and casual polling of GLBTI community on knowledge of areas and nominees. 
Media presence.
Consistency of actions related to award recognition.
Seven member panel vote.
Nominees for International Level are accepted from both open nomination and panel nomination. The award itself is bestowed from StoneWall Society as a whole.
