Famous GLBT & GLBTI People
Marie Antoinette (1755-1793)
The Queen of France was from Austria. Who, speaking of the peasants, said "Let them eat cake!" Part of her fame came from the sexual affairs her court and her well-known "Circle of Sapphhist." Two purported lovers of her's were Marie-Louise, Princess of Lamballe and Yolande-Martaine Gabrielle de Palastron, Duchess of Polignao. Maria was guillotined in 1793 at the height of the French Revolution. Not the first queen to lose her head over a basket.
